Steelers' defeat in the Play Off final will be the last Sheffield fans see of many of the players.
Coach Paul Thompson bade farewell to nine imports after defeat to Cardiff Devils and, more importantly, a winter of underachievement.
It was quite a purge.
Those who know Thompson know he is a workaholic.
His decision to release so many players mean he'll not get much of a Summer break...he has a huge job on now in reconstructing the club.
