Former Sheffield Steelers coach suffers suspected heart attack

The 44-year-old appeared to be unconscious for several minutes while being assessed and treated by medical staff in Canada.

It is thought he may have had a heart attack,

“He was alert and responsive when transported to a local hospital for ’precautionary measures.’” said an official.

The Ontario Hockey League game was called off.
