Sheffield Steelers: When you can get tickets for Challenge Cup final at Cardiff Devils

Sheffield Steelers' fans won't be outnumbered in the Challenge Cup final at Cardiff Devils' rink on March 8.

The Star can confirm the South Yorkshire club will get half the available seats at the Viola Arena for the crunch game that may provide coach Aaron Fox with his first Steeler championship.

Within minutes of Wednesday night's emphatic 9-1 aggregate semi final win over Glasgow Clan, Steelers executive Shaun Smith said: "I have had confirmation that we get half, I have even agreed to underwrite the cost so we can get them in advance.

"We have 1,550, they go on sale Saturday at 12pm from box office entrance at Arena."

Cardiff beat Nottingham Panthers 3-4 on Wednesday (9-8 on aggregate.)

Sheffield players, in their celebrations for man of the match Lucas Sandstrom, paid tribute to American basketball superstar Koby Bryant, who died four days ago in a helicopter cash in Calabasas, California.
