Sheffield Steelers were on the ice at 10am today as they completed preparations for tonight’s game with Finnish giants JYP Jyväskylä in the Champions Hockey League.

Coach Paul Thompson said the team had benefitted from another week’s training and conditioning and he said they were determined to put on a show for Sheffield Arena fans (5pm.)

It is a daunting task after losing 0-3 to them, last week.

It will be first competitive action on the Arena pad for all Sheffield’s new players.

Meanwhile, other British Elite League teams were in action in domestic and international games.
