The livewire winger was handed a 2+10 penalty for checking to Matt Haywood's head, in Scotland.

The EIHL Department of Player Safety reviewed the check and suspended him from Saturday's showdown with Nottingham Panthers.

DeLuca has been in good form offensively; scoring ten points in his last seven games.

His place on a line with Marco Vallerand and Brendan Connolly will now likely go to Michael Davies, who returns from a six-game ban of his home.

The League also looked at Connolly's conduct at Clan, but have not made any sanction against him.
