Sheffield Steelers took just one minute to usher in a new league season on home ice with a goal from Colt King against Dundee Stars.

And they were completely dominating in the second period, when goals from Neil Clark (two) and Mike Ramsay put the game beyond any doubt.

Steelers had been clinical in front of goal, passing in cohesive style and finishing their checks off in front of a decent sized crowd.

In the final third of the match, Steelers goalie John DeCaro looked like he’s get a shut out, only to obe beaten closen in by Dan Ceman at 54;22.

The goal followed a fight between Matt Stephenson and Chris Zarb.

A duel between Chad Huttel and Jeff Hutchins was to follow.

The session saw some ice time for Sheffield Steeldogs’ Lee Haywood.

Final score Steelers 4 Stars 1.

Attendance: 4,375,
