Phantoms reunion for Steve

Sheffield Steeldogs take on Peterborough Phantoms tomorrow (7.30pm), giving Steve Duncombe the chance to face the team he has just left.

Duncombe's presence will be important as Steeldogs will be missing Kriss Grundmanis after he received a match penalty in Manchester last weekend.

Mid-table Peterborough were shut-out by Milton Keynes last Saturday and lost to ninth placed Telford Tigers - a team Steeldogs beat comfortably recently - last Sunday. Dogs' coach Matt Darlow commented: "We have been involved in three tight encounters against the Phantoms and I've no doubt that will be the case again with Curtis Cruickshank keen to improve his team's position and avenge their loss to us in the last encounter at iceSheffield.

"Buoyed by our performance against Manchester last weekend, which was an outstanding achievement, and safe in the knowledge that we have put the flu bug that hit the team over the Christmas period behind us, we are certainly looking to take two points on Saturday. This is the beginning of a string of games where we need to put points on the board."

"With frustrations likely to overspill from the last time Peterborough were in town, but with bruiser Andre Payette on the ice, it should be an entertaining contest. Dogs visit Bracknell on Sunday.
