The MK game saw some ey-watering fights.

On a night when Steeldogs ran a bucket collection for injured Sheffield boxer Jerome Wilson the game saw a third fight with Callum Pattison stopping McPherson.

Legue said after Sunday’s solid display: “We battled through adversity with a couple of guys sick and Lee Haywood banned the guys really stepped up – it was a great all round team performance.”

And referring to his hat-trick performance: “Andre has put me on the wing so I can see more of the ice, everything is in front of and I feel more comfortable. It’s coming together nicely”
