Sheffield’s booming ice Academy has had eight more of promising youngsters called up for England duty later in the year.
Kyle Smith, who has recently joined up with Andre Payette’s Steeldogs’ team for the English Premier League season, will be joined by Oliver Simms and Joe Carlton who have also recently been called up to the England under 16s squad, whilst Tyler Nickson and Liam Kirk have also been called up for the under 13s and under 14s set ups respectively.
Alex Graham, Sam Colton and Will Newcombe have all also been selected early for an England under 13s camp.
The eight players join Marcus Neil, Lewis Otley and Ashley Smith who were all called up for international duty earlier this month.
Shane Smith, the Sheffield Steeldogs owner said, “They all deserve their chance and we wish them all the best whilst they are out there with the England set up.”
