A VALUABLE £20,000 handicap is the highlight of Doncaster’s seven-race programme at Town Moor tomorrow.

The meeting, which gets under way at 2.05pm, is supported entirely by the public service union Unison.

The Unison ‘Speaking Up For Public Services’ Handicap Stakes is the feature race of the afternoon, a contest over the extended mile and a quarter.

Other highlights include The Unison The Trade Union & Thompsons Solicitors Conditions Stakes (a £13,000 race for sprinters over six furlongs), The Unison & LV-Frizzell Car Insurance Handicap Stakes (for three-year-old sprinters over five furlongs) and The Unison & UIA Home Insurance Maiden Stakes (extended mile and a quarter).

The giant screen, situated opposite the main stands will enable race goers to see all of the action.

A shuttle bus service will be in operation from the railway station.
