THE first-ever ‘Singles Night’ at Doncaster takes place this Saturday when the racecourse teams up with Hallam FM Dating and the local radio station’s Drivetime presenter, Ed Neill to host this special evening.

With fun dating games between races, including Town Moor’s own version of ‘Blind Date’, there’s something for everyone – single or not!

It is the first of eight evening meetings at Doncaster this summer – and the initial one in Yorkshire for 2011.

Racing gets underway at 4.35pm and the seven-race programme features The Fergusson Coal Doncaster Mile – a £30,000 Listed race over the round course – supported by one of the UK’s leading solid fuel suppliers.

Other highlights include The Maiden Stakes (a contest in The Racing Post Yearling Bonus Scheme – a national initiative), the Handicap Stakes, the Atteys Maiden Stakes, the SIS Live Fillies’ Handicap Stakes and The Wanted Live At Doncaster Racecourse 14th May Handicap Stakes

The opening race is a contest for lady amateur riders, held under the auspices of The Amateur Jockeys’ Association of Great Britain.

The giant screen, situated opposite the main stands will enable racegoers to see all of the action. A shuttle bus service will be in operation from the railway station.
