WE’RE looking forward to a great afternoon of racing tomorrow, in our final meeting ahead of the biggest fixture in our calendar, the Ladbrokes St Leger festival.

Tomorrow we have a line-up of seven great races taking place between 2:05pm and 5:35pm.

The pick of the day is the Lindsey Close Building Services Handicap, a Class Two race, run over seven furlongs.

The off-the-course activity promises to be equally entertaining, with U2 tribute act Achtung Baby taking to the stage straight after the last race.

The band, described by U2 themselves as the definitive tribute act, will be performing a string of the Irish rockers’ best known hits in a live show sure to keep racegoers thoroughly entertained.

Of course, our eyes are firmly on our next big meeting, the Ladbrokes St Leger festival, between Wednesday, September 12 and Saturday, September 15. The pinnacle event at Town Moor, the festival is set to attract more than 60,000 guests across the four days and, of course, will feature horses of the highest calibre, including Camelot, a three-year old colt that could cement its place among racing’s elite if it clinches victory in the Ladbrokes St Leger on the Saturday.

Already, we’re seeing racing fans from right around the world, booking up to watch what could be a historic occasion.

On the Wednesday we host our Welcome to Yorkshire raceday, featuring our Leger Legends race, in which racing stars of years gone by, including Richard Hills and Mick Kinane, will come temporarily out of retirement in a charity fundraiser.

Thursday is set to be a more glamorous affair, as Ladies Day gets underway at Doncaster Racecourse.

Thousands of females will sport their finest attire for a great day of racing and the chance to be selected as the best dressed lady.

And the festival culminates in the Doncaster Cup Day on Friday, September 14 and Ladbrokes St Leger Day on Saturday, two fantastic days of racing.
