DONCASTER Racecourse stages its second consecutive Saturday evening meeting at Town Moor this weekend with the first race at 5.50pm.

The fully-sponsored programme opens with The Apprentice Handicap Stakes and also features The Conditions Stakes, The Handicap Stakes, The Polypipe Maiden Stakes, The Sheffield Insulations Maiden Stakes and The Exclusive William Buick Blog Handicap Stakes.

The title of the latter race – which is held over the Ladbrokes St Leger distance – refers to the blog on At The Races by William Buick, the S. Leger-winning jockey for the past two years.

At the conclusion of racing, The BUDO Big Band will play a mixture of big band swing and Rat Pack classics on the Champagne Lawn.

The giant screen opposite the main stands will enable racegoers to see all of the action. A shuttle bus service will run from the railway station.
