Hatti up and running at the double

British 3000m steeplechase record-holder, Hatti Dean produced two solid performances in the 3000m flat and steeplechase events at the World Athletics Final in Stuttgart.

The 25-year-old Hallam shire Harrier finished a respectable eighth over the barriers on Saturday in 9:41.86; just three seconds adrift of her personal best, in a race won by Eunice Jepkorir (Kenya) in 9:35.03.

The other British athlete, Helen Clitheroe, beat Dean for the first time finishing sixth in a personal best time of 9:41.59.

Dean went on to record 9:16.93 in the 3000m the following day.

The achievements at the International Association of Athletics Federations event caps off a stunning summer track campaign for the runner.

Now Dean heads to the Northern road relay Championships in Warring ton on September 29, in an attempt to continue her breathtaking form.
