Hallam face Play-Offs test

THE Yorkshire Council Champ ionship Play-Offs get underway next Sunday.

Hallam, leaders of the South Yorkshire League, will entertain Streethouse who top the Pontefract Section.

Elsecar, who got in as South Yorkshire No 2, will be away to Ackworth in their quarter-final.

If both local clubs get through they have avoided each other in the semi-finals but Hallam would face a potentially difficult semi against either of the Central Yorkshire League sides, Townville or Wrenthorpe who recently won the Heavy Woollen Cup.

The final is scheduled for Sunday, September 10 at Treeton.

The

White Rose Under-21 Trophy Final between the South Yorkshire League and the Airedale and Wharfedale League scheduled for Elsecar yesterday was rained off. No new date has been arranged.

No play either in the SYL First Division Play-off clash between Darfield and Houghton Main and they will try again next Sunday.
