These cyclists took on a gruelling charity challenge and smashed their fundraising target!

The 22-strong Rossington Wheelers team set off at 6am from Rossington and cycled to Flamborough Head and back - all in aid of Brain Tumour Research.

The 175 mile bike ride took the men and women 10.5 hours to complete with their fundraising total now standing at £3,894.94 for the charity researching the biggest cancer killer of the UK.

Two members of the group who took on the cycle with an incline of 1500ft were Ben and Martin from Doncaster based 8Point8 Support Ltd - a company specialising in telecoms, renewable energy and the broadcasting sectors nationally.

Ben Eaves, senior project engineer for the company said: “The cycle was pretty hard but we all worked as a team and all supported each other. It would be great if we could break the £4,000 mark for such a worthy charity.”
