Prestigious team prize for Sheffield Diving

Consistently high quality diving throughout the team saw Sheffield Diving capture the team trophy at the 2017 G Star competition, attended by top divers from Great Britain and the United States, in Leeds.

The two gold medal performances came from Richelle Houlden in the girls’ 12/13 years 3 metre springboard event and from Jenna Davison in the girls’ 10/11 years 1 metre springboard. Taking bronze behind Jenna came Maisie Bond who won a hat-trick of bronze medals.

Synchro partners Millie Fowler and Millie Haffety took silver medals in the Women’s open 3 metre and 1 metre events respectively. Yasmin Harper won bronze behind Haffety and Jessica Vega also took bronze in the 14/15 years 1 metre springboard event.

Ross Haslam was a double bronze winner in the mens open 1 metre and 3 metre springboard events with Owen Harrison also taking bronze in the open platform competition.

In the 10/11 years boys events, Jack Burrows took silver on 3 metre and bronze on platform.

Other finalists and medal winners were Freddie Woodward, Rafael Benitez, Adam Charity, Harrison Case, Isaac Trueman-Marsden, Harrison Hartley, Oscar Wilcox, Sarah Leach, Fern Hitchen and Amelia Scott.
