Sheffield FC Ladies ended London Bees’ seven-match unbeaten streak with an emphatic 5-0 away win at The Hive.

Goals from Emma Johnson, Jodie Michalska, Hannah Dale, Ellie Gilliatt and Chelsea Flanagan secured the win for the visitors in FA Women’s Super League 2.

Sheffield led after nine minutes when Johnson lashed home from close-range after Bees keeper Imogen Riches had denied Michalska.

Riches was then forced to backpedal to push Johnson’s lob out for a corner before the dangerous Flanagan somehow poked wide when one-on-one with the keeper.

Jo Wilson wasted two good chances for London Bees either side of the break; first dragging wide of the far post when released by Deanna Cooper, then slashing over from an acute angle.

Sheffield doubled their lead after 55 minutes and deservedly so. Flanagan delivered from the right for the unmarked Michalska who stooped to head home to continue her recent scoring streak.

The visitors added a third with 19 minutes remaining. Kirsty Hanson providing the cross with Dale on hand to steer home low.

The fourth was all too simple, Flanagan crossing for substitute Gilliatt to volley home.

Flanagan then capped the win with a shot which slipped through the unfortunate Riches’ gloves.
