Willett and Fitzpatrick remain in contention at Italian Open

Danny Willett and Matt Fitzpatrick both enjoyed good third days to remain well-placed for a high finish at the Italian Open.

Hackenthorpe's Willett dropped just one shot on his way to a three under par round of 69, leaving him tied for 14th on -12 for the tournament at the Golf Club Milano.

Fitzpatrick was the big mover of the two with his five under par round of 67 saw him climb to tied for 16th on -11.

Jen Fahrbring, Martin Kaymer and Romain Wattel are in a three-way tie for the lead on -17.

Fitzpatrick tees for his final round at 11.38am on Sunday with Willett out at 11.47am.
