LEE WESTWOOD will be among a strong field taking part in the Alstom Open de France, starting on Thursday.
Westwood has had four top-10 finishes in nine appearances at the Open de France and in 2009, came close to winning the title at Le Golf National, when he lost to Martin Kaymer in a play-off.
When he last played there in 2010, he finished in 18th place, although he was suffering from the onset of a troublesome calf injury at the time. In 2011, another Worksop golfer Mark Foster came runner up. Westwood, certainly seems in relaxed mood for the tournament.
Yesterday, he tweeted: “Just landed in Paris for the Vivendi/financial times golf day at fourqueux. Then the French open at Paris national. Lovely weather.”
