Joe Dean clinched the prestigious Westwood Trophy by four shots at Rotherham Golf Club.
The 19-year-old from Killamarsh, who plays out of Lindricks GC and is also a member at Renishaw GC, shot a seven under par 273 for his four rounds.
His opening round four under 66 set things up and he followed with three sub-par rounds of 69.
Winner of the Dutch Junior Open last year, Dean, who reached the last 16 of the English Amateur Championship recently, held off the challenge of Bawtry GC’s Sam Young whose began with a superb five under 65 - the tournament’s best.
However, he rather undid that start with a second round 75 before carding a 72 and finishing with a 68 for runners-up spot on 279.
Joint third were Freddie Sheridan-Mills (Walsall) and Ciaran Doherty (Bury) and the next best placed local golfer was Rotherham GC’s Jamie Harrison in joint fifth on 283 which incouded a final round 68.
Rotherham GC have retained the Sheffield Union’s Division one title, beating Hallamshire in their final match to hold off a challenge from Phoenix and Wath.
Wheatley’s Kealan Lowe, 16, won the Sheffield Union Junior Championship at Wortley with a 71, two ahead of Will Seaton of Lindrick. Kealan’s brother Ruairi won the Under 14 title with a 76.
