Zamora wins Capello call for England

Bobby Zamora was named in an England squad for the first time since August when Fabio Capello announced his party for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Switzerland at Wembley on June 4.

Zamora, who has come back from a broken leg this season, is selected in a four-man strikeforce. Andy Carroll is ruled out through injury and Wayne Rooney through suspendion and Zamora joins Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch.

Former Blades Phil Jagielka and Kyle Walker are included as is Fulham No 2 goalkeeper David Stockdale who once had a spell on loan with Rotherham United.

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshire is not included in the England U21 squad for the UEFA U21 Championship in Denmark next month. Doncaster-born Danny Rose, of Spurs, is in.
