England’s World Cup campaign got off to a dream start as they overpowered Croatia 4-2 in a thriller of a match down in Dallas.
Thomas Tuchel’s side played with a sense of freedom and exuberance which we don’t always see in major tournaments giving fans plenty to cheer about while setting the platform for progress into the knockout stage.
“We went full gas and they could not live with it," said captain Harry Kane, who gave the fans back home plenty to cheer about after an excellent brace against last tournament’s semi-finalists, which saw him go level with Gary Lineker as the Three Lions’ leading goalscorer at the World Cup.
England fans will hope it’s just the start of things to come as they put their club allegiances aside to cheer on the Three Lions in bars and fan zones throughout the Steel City.
With all that in mind, as attention turns to the next England match, we look at some of Sheffield’s top sports bars and venues to watch the action unfold as Tuchel’s men look to finally end 60 years of hurt.
