Which Rotherham United players will be heading for the exit door during the transfer window?

He has said fringe players are available to leave before the transfer window ends in a fortnight.

Adam Thompson

The central defender, who can also play right-back, has yet to feature in any of Warne's matchday squads and is looking well down the pecking order. In a central position he has Michael Ihiekwe, Angus MacDonald, Richard Wood, Clark Robertson and Curtis Tilt ahead of him, while the right-back position is also well stocked with Wes Harding, Billy Jones and Matt Olosunde. It has been a tricky time for Thompson in South Yorkshire after he joined following Bury's collapse last summer. He played just 14 times, though was in the team when the season curtailed.

Jamie Proctor

Proctor appears to have little chance of resurrecting his Millers career, even if he is prepared to stay and fight for it. He too has not been included in any of Warne's 18-man matchday squads and the manager has also admitted that he is currently fifth-choice striker. The 28-year-old, has had a rotten three years at the club after picking up a serious knee injury just a month into his Rotherham career and then needing a hip operation last season. Although he would like to turn things around it seems like it would take a lot to happen for him to get ahead of Michael Smith, Freddie Ladapo, George Hirst and Kyle Vassell in the pecking order.

Trevor Clarke

There was real excitement following Clarke's arrival from Shamrock Rovers in Ireland last summer but injury curtailed his first season to just 10 appearances in all competitions. He was coming back this year to have a real crack at kick-starting his Rotherham career but a calf injury in pre-season again set him back, meaning he missed all of the preparations. He is back in training now, but some way off Warne's team, with Joe Mattock a firm fixture at left-back and Kieran Sadlier arriving to play further up the pitch. If there is interest for Clarke, he may be wise to take the opportunity of games.
