Wheatley plans hit by weddings!

WHEATLEY Hills Rugby Union Club will be looking to complete a hat-trick of Yorkshire League Two wins when they entertain Yarnbury tomorrow.

But they will be without skipper Richard Storey and prop Tommy Starbuck, who are both getting married tomorrow, and several team-mates are expected to attend their respective ceremonies.

"Hopefully we can still come up with another win despite the fact that we have had to draft in some second teamers," said spokesman Dave Bibby.

"We used to play Yarnbury on a regular basis when we were both in Yorkshire One, but we haven't played them for four or five years due to the fact that they hit a bad patch and suffered two relegations. But they won promotion from Division Three last season and are on their way back."

Doncaster Phoenix entertain Wath in Division Three.

"We will be looking to get back on winning track after last week's 20-0 defeat; it is as simple as that," said coach David Senior.

"We view it as an eminently winnable game if we play like we know that we can.

"We still see promotion as a realistic target, but for that hope to be realised we have to win these sort of games."
