The 24-year-old arrived from Birmingham last summer wanting to get some regular action and he certainly did that.

The versatile defender played in all 46 Championship games, 41 from the start, in a range of positions across a back four, back three and wing-back position.

The Millers ultimately lost their battle to stay in the Championship, but Harding was the stand-out player, producing form which earned him a maiden call-up to the Jamaican national team.

Harding said of his season: “I've found it very good. Coming here, my whole thing was that I just wanted to play games.

“For certain reasons, I didn't have that chance previously at Birmingham. I'm so happy to be here because I've literally played game after game after game and learned a lot about myself.

“I'm very pleased. I've played in various positions and I'm happy with that versatility.

“I've played in every game. That level of involvement is massive for me. My friends and family have all turned into Rotherham fans.

“Everywhere I go, everything I do, they support me. I've got a big family, a big support system.”
