Danny Wilson says he still feels aggrieved over the suspension of Gboly Ariyibi, but the winger's absence will give others in the squad a chance to impress.
Chesterfield travel to Wigan Athletic on Saturday for what the boss concedes will be a tough game.
But they will be bolstered by the return of Drew Talbot after a bout of illness.
Ian Evatt will be missing for another couple of weeks however.
