The midfielder has been at the centre of speculation, but even though the tranfer window is now open, Wilson says there’s nothing on the table to act upon.

Wilson expects any bid that might be forthcoming will appear towards the end of the window, for which he expressed his distaste.

He revealed that goalkeeper Alex Cairns has left the club and may join Rotherham, while Spireites hope to retain the services of Chris Herd who was on a short term contract.

And next week may bring a new face in the form of a defender.
