Dinnington's FA Cup debut is set to be played in front of TV cameras.

And the famous trophy will be displayed at the ground when they take on Maltby Main on Friday, August 17.

Dinnington secretary Chris Dearns confirmed highlights from the preliminary round tie between the Northern Counties East League teams will be televised by Sky Sports.

"The club is over the moon to get this chance in our first entry in the FA Cup against local rivals Maltby Main from the Premier Division.

"To get the chance to even play in the FACup is quite an achievement for the club when you consider all the hard work that has gone into the ground over the last few years to allow progress into the Northern Counties East League," he said.

"It is also a coincidence that this is the centenary year for Dinnington football.

"In 1908 Dinnington Colliery played the first football on our ground, so a thank you must go to the miners for giving us this opportunity.''
