Stocksbridge Park Steels face a crucial home clash against third-placed Northwich Victoria.

Steels were beaten 2-0 at home by fellow strugglers Whitby Town on Wednesday, a result that saw Gary Marrow’s side slip to third from bottom.

With just a point separating Stocksbridge from basement club Burscough, defeat against high-riding Northwich Victoria could see the Bracken Moor drop to the bottom. However if Steels can upset the form book they may catapult up to 13th. But it promises to be a stiff test with Northwich undefeated.

Worksop Town go into their home clash against promotion favourites Chester bolstered by a first win of the season.

The Tigers beat Buxton 2-1 this week to end a run of seven games without a win, lifting them off bottom spot.

Matlock Town will have their run of form put to the test when they entertain leaders Bradford Park Avenue.

The Gladiators are unbeaten in the last seven, which has seen them climb to eighth in the table.

With top two of Chorley and Northwich battling out a goalless stalemate in midweek, it allowed Bradford to leapfrog the pair by beating Marine 2-0.

Frickley Athletic go to Chasetown, who are without a win in four at home. The Blues are two places and one point above their hosts after ending a run of six games without a win when coming from behind to beat North Ferriby United 2-1 in midweek.

The Bucks hope goalkeeper Scott Hartley will have shaken off the injury that ruled him out of the second half in the midweek defeat at Worksop.

In Division One South, Sheffield FC go to Market Drayton Town searchng for a first away league win, after picking up just one point from the previous four away trips.

Despite poor away form, Club sit sixth in the table and only four points behind early pacesetters.
