Yeovil have signed midfielder Fraser Fyvie on loan from fellow Championship side Wigan until January.
The 20-year-old, signed by the Latics from Aberdeen for a fee thought to be in the region of £500,000 in 2012, will stay with Gary Johnson’s side until New Year’s Day.
Fraser made nine appearances during his first season and was thought of highly by previous manager Roberto Martinez but has grown disillusioned with a lack of playing opportunities under his replacement Owen Coyle. Yeovil are joint bottom of the Championship.
League One Walsall have announced a trading profit for the year ending May 31 2013.
The Saddlers have revealed a profit of £23,000, an increase of £13,000 on the previous year, at an economically challenging time when many clubs throughout Britain are struggling to make ends meet.
It comes after a season in which the midlands outfit finished in ninth place in the third tier, just six points adrift of the play-offs, and chairman Jeff Bonser has painted a bright picture for the future.
In a statement, Bonser said: “I believe this represents a significant achievement when you consider the findings of the latest Annual Review of Football Finance Report, published by Deloitte in June 2013, which established that the average net loss for a League One club in 2011/12 was £2.4million.”
AFC Wimbledon have been dealt an injury blow with the news Chris Arthur will be out for up to two months.
The winger was sent for an X-ray on Wednesday after injuring his ankle against Accrington at the weekend and has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture.
Fulham are taking a look at Port Vale’s highly-rated teenage goalkeeper Ryan Boot. The 19-year-old has joined the Barclays Premier League club on loan and is scheduled to play for their academy side against Aston Villa on Saturday.
