Spireites boss encouraged by start

Lee Richardson looks back on Chesterfield's opening two league games, both draws, with some frustration.

"There's slight disappointment that we haven't taken all six points but there's plenty of time for us to start picking up the wins that we need, but I'm encouraged overall as we've played two decent teams.

"We've another to come in Peterborough United and then we have Wycombe Wanderers at home, so the first few games have seen us thrown up against some of the expected better teams in the division, so we're getting a good idea about what this division's about."

Reflecting on the 1-1 Stockport result, the manager said: "We're pleased to have got a point out of the game that probably last season would have gone away from us, but we've got to learn the lesson that we've got to be more forceful, more imposing on teams and that way we'll get better results."
