NEWLY-crowned champions AFC Sportsman Rovers brought the curtain down on their successful Doncaster Senior League Premier Division campaign with a 5-5 draw at Kinsley Boys.
Paul Hemmingway got a hat trick for Rovers, who finished nine points ahead of runners-up Sutton Rovers, with Matthew Tolley and Philip Whitehead also on target.
Boys responded through Joshua Appleton, Adam Cameron, Luke Chestney, Tom Clarke and Liam Radford, to get the vital point which saw them overtake Maltby MW for third spot.
Adwick Park Rangers A accounted for Doncaster Deaf 3-0 thanks to goals by Scott Exley, Ryan Chesters and Luke Guest. A 3-1 win at Yorkshire Main helped Swinton Station Athletic finish fifth. Lee Nash, Alex Burton and Shawn Marshall shared out the goals with Lee Hinchcliffe replying.
A six-goal haul by Craig Hobson spearheaded an 11-4 triumph for Travellers FC over Division One rivals Adwick Park Rangers B. It took Hobson’s tally for the season to 70.
Dave Sharp also notched a hat-trick for the South Kirkby side. Robert Pettit also netted as did keeper Jason France, switched up front for the last ten minutes, who scored with a 30-yard scorcher.
Hatfield Main, who had accumulated 118 goals from their previous 27 games, were held 0-0 by FC Tavern.
