Yes, the Tony Pulis era at S6 is about to get real as the Owls look to stretch their unbeaten run to three games against Preston North End at Deepdale this afternoon.

And the former Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion boss begins his first game in the Wednesday dugout by making four changes to the side which drew 0-0 last time out against Millwall under former manager Garry Monk.

The big news is that goalkeeper Keiren Westwood starts for the first time in 12 months, while Tom Lees, Massimo Luongo and Callum Paterson also return in place of Joe Wildsmith, Dominic Iorfa, Joey Pelupessy and Elias Kachunga respectively.

Here’s how Owls fans on Twitter have reacted to Pulis’ team selection and the return of Westwood.

@LukeMar49281445 THERE’S ONLY ONE KIEREN WESTWOOD

@WednesdayRetro A year out and Westwood is back. Good to see Penney back involved. Let’s hope it’s a winning start for TP #swfc

@Swfc_Jack Great news that Luongo is back #SWFC

@owls_4life Fantastic to see Luongo starting again #swfc

@Owls1412 YESSSSS WESTWOOD #swfc

@BradDelamore97 I’m not over the moon that Westwood starts. I feel like he should have worked for it and that Joe and Cameron should have had one or two more games. I’m more happy that Luongo is back.

@MlLindley Wow Westwood straight back in team!!! #swfc

@jon_wakefield So the rumour about Iorfa being injured again was true?

@danadzjones90 Well done TP getting Westwood straight back in #swfc

@aaron1867 It’s clear to see that Pulis isn’t Monk. Westwood starts and Dawson nowhere to be seen. Whilst Pelupessy on the bench. Got a good feeling #swfc

@NewYorkOwls Formation wise it looks decidedly Monkish. Guessing he didn't want to upset the apple cart too much?

@Majortarantino Luongo being back is the best news in that line-up #swfc

@samhudspith24 I’ve never really understood why Keiren Westwood always gets frozen out of the #SWFC team and then reinstated when a new manager comes in.

@Shez_71 Scenes when Westwood lets one through his legs, gives away a penalty and gets sent off. All in the first half
