Why Sheffield Wednesday's kick-off time at Barnsley has been changed

Sheffield Wednesday’s Championship clash at neighbours Barnsley has been brought forward.

The fixture at Oakwell was scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, February 8 but will now kick off at 1.30pm on police advice.

Earlier this season the Owls defeated their South Yorkshire rivals 2-0 at Hillsborough courtesy of goals from debutante Jacob Murphy and Steven Fletcher.

The Reds currently occupy bottom spot in the Championship and parted company with manager Daniel Stendel in October.

He was replaced by Wolfsberger AC boss Gerhard Struber.
