Despite starting the campaign with a 12-point deficit, Wednesday have been successful in the transfer market with Brown joining Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Chey Dunkley in coming through the door.

The loanee from Chelsea has a belief in the squad and the staff that the disadvantage won’t matter as he aims for the top end.

"I feel like that doesn't matter because you can go on a five, six, seven-game winning streak in the Championship and you are out of the minus and you are on your way," he said. "I feel like the team has got the capability to win many games.

"The minus thing doesn't really affect anything because I have got a good belief in the players here and I feel like they are confident it is not going to affect anything.

"Truthfully, I didn't even consider it," Brown told Yorkshire Live. "It didn't bother me one little bit.

"No one is going to remember the minus 12 points if you finish in the promotion places. They are going to remember where you finish in the league.

"We have to look at winning every game. We don't need to worry about what's going to happen at the end of the season. If we go game by game, we will be fine.

"Anything is possible in the Championship. You have to believe and have the focus that you can win every game when you go on to the pitch."
