The Owls are still recovering from the heartache of play-off semi-final defeat to Sunderland but attention will soon turn to next season and a renewed attempt to bypass the play-offs altogether with automatic promotion.

9. Callum Paterson
Wednesday have a year's contract option on Paterson, but also entered into contract negotiations with him earlier this season only for them to be parked. Though he has shown frustration at his level of pitch time on occasion, he seems happy at the club.

Seems to have enjoyed his time with the club having got over that 'I've never been injured' jinx-a-thon. Is the sort of player Moore appreciates and is available on a free from Birmingham - though there will likely be Championship interest and wages could prove to be an issue.
