The 19-year-old Bulgarian joins the likes of Alex Hunt, Ben Hughes and Osaze Urhoghide in being plucked out of the under-23s for a taste of first team involvement as manager Garry Monk looks to inject some youth into the set-up.

Borukov, a strong and powerful forward, joined the club from PFC Levski Sofia in 2017 and has been a regular for the club’s second string, signing professional terms with the club in June last year.

Capped by his country at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-21 level, he scored the winner in the Owls’ 1-0 mini-derby win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in November.

His strengths include finishing and the ability to hold-up the ball.
