Goalkeeper Luke Jackson jumps on to the bench in place of Cameron Dawson, who pulled up late with an unspecified knock.

The 18-year-old, who joined the Owls from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2018, is a relative unknown having played second fiddle to Josh Render in the club’s under 23 ranks for the majority of his Wednesday career.

Render has spent much of the season travelling with the first team, both before Keiren Westwood’s reintroduction to the team and since his injury, but played in the under 23s’ 1-1 draw with Crewe Alexandra at Stocksbridge this afternoon and so did not travel.

Despite his age Jackson is an imposing presence.
