Jay Glover will step out for his first competitive outing in a Wednesday shirt and looks set to take up the right wing-back position as Jack Hunt continues his comeback from illness and with Liam Palmer resting up after a stellar outing at Bolton Wanderers over the weekend.
Having predominantly a box-to-box central midfielder across the course of his career in the club’s youth ranks, the 19-year-old is no stranger to the needs of first team standard.

Hide AdHe is one of several Wednesday youngsters to have spent a great deal of time training with the seniors in recent months as manager Darren Moore looks to bed the brighter lights of the club’s youth ranks into senior football.
He was entrusted with a good deal of involvement in the club’s vast pre-season programme and played in a two of their friendly fixtures – at Alfreton Town and at Harrogate Town.
The Alfreton outing saw him impress out on the right, while he jumped into midfield for the Harrogate game. He was under close consideration for the Owls’ trip to Portugal alongside fellow youngsters Pierce Charles, Ryan Galvin and Alex Hunt, before it was decided he would stay in the UK for increased game time with the under-21s.
