He has reiterated his desire to sign Frederico Venancio on a permanent basis.
The centre-half has caught the eye since arriving from Vitoria de Setubal on loan, appearing 24 times in all competitions.
Reports in the Portuguese press claim the Owls would have to pay in the region of £2.6 million to capture Venancio, who has two years remaining on his Vitoria contract.
Luhukay said: “We have not the situation where we can decide, the club (Vitoria) must find a solution for Fred. We must have the patience (and hope we) come to something positive.”
