Youngsters Manuel Hidalgo and Ryan Galvin have arrived on a permanent basis from Triestina and Wigan respectively, with fiery Dutch winger Alessio Da Cruz having signed on loan from Parma.

Reports yesterday suggested the Owls had moved to the front of the queue for Crystal Palace target man Connor Wickham and were thrown in as a surprise suitor of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrott.

And there may still be movement on a possible Jordan Rhodes departure, with the forward linked with Wigan and Cardiff in recent weeks.

Wednesday are not shy of movement late on in a transfer window.
