The Dane saw his side move into fourth place in the Championship and end a run of five matches without a league win.

His comments contrasted those of Owls boss Garry Monk, who called out his players’ ‘lack of desire’ on a torrid afternoon in the capital.

Asked whether he agreed with Monk’s Wednesday assessment, Frank said: “I don't want to talk too much about Sheffield Wednesday because Garry will know more about this.

“The big headline today was the desire to defend,” he said.

“I know that sounds crazy when we won 5-0, but we know that we try to play attractive, offensive football and we try to dominate the matches.

“When we got on top of the game and created chances we were scary.

“They defended with their lives.”
