First half strikes from strike duo Josh Windass and Jordan Rhodes secured victory for the Owls, giving Garry Monk’s side the perfect start to the new season as they bid to claw back their 12-point deficit at the foot of the second tier.

Here’s what Wednesday fans have had to say on Twitter after this afternoon’s victory in the Welsh capital.

@swfcsc The perfect start. Two goals, away from home, both strikers a goal each, clean sheet. Onwards #swfc
