Teamtalk claims the defender is attracting the interest of leaders West Bromwich Albion, Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town.

Fox, who was the subject of a bid from League One side Sunderland in the August transfer window, is out of contract in the summer.

The former Wales Under-21 international has established himself as a first-team regular under Garry Monk, appearing on 14 occasions since the Owls manager's appointment in early September.

It is a far cry from August when Fox was booed by a section of Wednesday fans before kick-off against Luton.

But Fox has benefited from a long run in the team and won over some of his doubters.

His fine impressive run of form saw him claim the club's player of the month award for October.

The 26-year-old put in another solid showing in Saturday's comprehensive 4-0 triumph at Nottingham Forest.

Fox is one of a number of Wednesday players in the final years of their deal, including Cameron Dawson, Sam Hutchinson, Steven Fletcher, Atdhe Nuhiu and Fernando Forestieri.

Monk, who has held talks with his out-of-contract stars, said: "There are things we are going to have to look at moving forward but obviously I want to get the time to sit with the owner and people involved in that process.

"The owner will be back here very, very soon and we will sit and have those discussions.”
