“-ing the manager doesn’t necessarily bring success, but when you’re not getting results the first thing people do is think about changing.
“There are many factors driving this impatience for success. You come into this job knowing you have to win games.”
On his situation, he admits: “Results haven’t been good enough, so I’m aware there’s a chance I could lose my job. But I’m going to keep working as hard as I can, and hopefully things will turn around.”
Welcoming Mandaric’s words of support as “fantastic”, he said: “I hope that continues. I also understand it doesn’t last forever. We need to win games. It’s very simple.”
