The experienced manager took Wednesday from mid-table in the Championship to the brink of the play-offs in just a couple of months last season.

Hopes were high for the Owls under Bruce this season but a surprise approach by his beloved Newcastle United, the club he has supported all his life, proved too strong and he left Hillsborough for St James’ Park.

The move did not go down well with Wednesdayites so when Bruce was heading into Bramall Lane for tonight’s game against Sheffield United one Owls fan saw this as the perfect opportunity to let him know how he felt.

The fan pretended to pose for a selfie with Bruce but instead recorded their meeting and told him “Just want to say you’re a traitor.”

Thankfully it looks like Bruce took it well!
