Sheffield Wednesday’s new manager, Xisco Munoz, saw his side draw 1-1 with York City on Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday’s new boss said in the build-up to the game that he would have some senior players unavailable for selection, and earlier in the day it was confirmed that Liam Palmer would need a bit more time to recover after minor surgery... Plenty of youngsters played their part as they went up against the Minstermen at the LNER Community Stadium.

Palmer, George Byers and Mallik Wilks were the big names missing out - and Ben Heneghan was also here with the side as he continues his rehabilitation, though he wasn’t part of the squad.

Wednesday led 1-0 at the break thanks to a goal from Josh Windass, but Finlay Barnes levelled things up in the second stanza - watch both goals below, or the full game above:

It was all change at the break, though, Wednesday making eight changes as Munoz gave a mix of youngsters and senior players a run. Sean Fusire, Joey Phuthi and Pierce Charles all came on midway through the second half as well.
