Watch Sheffield Wednesday players and fans celebrate their win over Hull City in fine style

Have your say

There hasn’t been a great deal for Sheffield Wednesday fans to shout about this season, but there’s no doubting their backing.

As has been the case for all of this campaign, the traveling Owls faithful followed in their numbers again, albeit the journey a bit shorter this time around.

Almost 2,500 fans made the trip to the KCOM for Wednesday’s penultimate away game of the season and they were rewarded with a great display of grit and determination from the team.

Jordan Rhodes returned to the starting line-up for the first time since early last month and scored the only goal of the game but this was very much a team effort as Wednesday battled to claim all three points.

After a horror show away at QPR in midweek the players owed a performance and they gave it and as a result there was reciprocated applause on and off the pitch as Wednesday players went over to the corner housing the away fans.

They've been through a lot this year but they still know how to celebrate a win.
