Tom Lees - Groin

The defender was forced off late into the 1-1 draw with QPR due to a groin injury that meant he was unable to continue.

At this point the severity remains unknown.

Dominic Iorfa - Hamstring

Iorfa had to miss the last game after picking up a hamstring niggle.

There were worries that it could be a long-term problem, but Monk said recently that it was not too serious.

Palmer’s injury was badly-timed from a personal perspective because it looks set to rule him out of international duty for two key Scotland games, but from a Wednesday perspective it is thought that he should be back in contention by the time the game against Birmingham City rolls around.

Liam Shaw – Ankle

The youngster suffered a blow early in the QPR game after he was given a start alongside Lees and Joost van Aken, and while it looked like it could be a minor collision at first, replays do suggest that it could be worse than that.

He’ll be waiting for the results of some scans to see how severe it is.

Chey Dunkley - Leg

It’s been a while since Dunkley last played football following a bad leg break earlier in the year.

He was signed during his rehab and is said to be closing in on a return to action, even if it is with the U23s for a while first.

Has started to get some minutes in his legs now with Lee Bullen’s team after missing the last part of the 2019/20 season, and Monk has been full of praise for the way he’s worked at getting himself back. Not far off now.

Izzy Brown – Knee

Things are looking pretty positive regarding Brown’s situation, with Monk saying that it was more of a dead leg than anything else. The player himself says he should be back after the international break.

Alex Hunt – Illness

The youngster had a knock before that kept him out of a couple of Wednesday games last month, but after returning to full training he picked up a bit of an illness that kept him out of the QPR game. Should be ok for Birmingham.
